Meet Grace-Anne, a talented 24-year-old Métis woman and a passionate advocate for traditional Indigenous arts. Hailing from a rich cultural heritage, she has dedicated herself to preserving and showcasing her ancestral traditions through her artistic endeavors.

Having pursued her artistic education at Portage College, Grace-Anne has not only honed her skills but has also had the privilege of receiving invaluable teachings from numerous respected elders. These cherished interactions have instilled in her a deep appreciation for the wisdom, knowledge, and traditions passed down through generations.

Grace-Anne finds great joy in sharing her traditional knowledge and skills with other youth in her community. Through teaching lessons and workshops, she imparts the importance of cultural preservation and the significance of Indigenous art as a powerful medium for storytelling and connection to one's roots. Her ability to teach hide tanning techniques and her mastery of beadwork serve as tangible examples of her dedication to keeping traditional arts alive.
